Holding Steady: Practicing Principles of Nonviolence

This workshop offers space for that essential inner work — slowing down, reflecting, and acting from a deeper heart state. Drawing on the wisdom of Gandhi, James Lawson Jr., Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,and Zen traditions, nonviolence is taught here as an active force of love, truth, and justice.

Through guided reflection, small-group conversation, and mind/body practice, you will:

  • Explore and embody the six principles of nonviolence
  • Practice Nonviolent Communication and CLARA de-escalation method
  • Role-play tense, real-world situations to build confidence and steady presence
  • Cultivate resilience, courage, and care in the face of fear and challenge
