8/23/2025 – The BUG’s are Spreading! Next Building Unity Gathering on Madison’s East Side!
The next Building Unity Gathering will be on Saturday, August 23, 2025 – 6:00 – 9:00 pm at James Reeb UU Congregation – 2146 E. Johnson St in Madison, WI
Building Unity is working with partners to create monthly gatherings. Our thinking is that in order for communities to get united and organized, the members have to first find each other. Building Unity Gatherings (BUG’s) are a perfect way to begin this process. Our hope is to partner with many groups throughout Wisconsin to create this gatherings.
Most will be potlucks, but they don’t have to be. The main ingredient for these gatherings is that they all give local activists and groups opportunities to share their plans, ideas, hopes, and dreams. By providing a space where people can find each other, share information, explore collaboration, and get to know and trust each other, we are providing the foundation for the solidarity relationships that are necessary for the movement building that we need now.
